Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the therapeutic effect of pterional approach minimally invasive surger in the treatment of internal ophthalmic artery aneurysms (OAAs).

Methods

Retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 22 cases with internal carotid artery OAA in our hospital from March 2016 to December 2017. The aneurysm clipping was performed through the pterional approach. The GOS score of 14 d after operation, the effect of operation and complications were observed.

Results

From the choice of operation time, the incidence of operation within 3 d was high, accounting for 59.09%. Among the 22 patients, 19 patients were cured according to GOS score, and the postoperative cure rate was 86.36%. Only 2 patients had no significant improvement in visual acuity compared with before, and the other patients had no obvious postoperative complications. The incidence of complications was 0.09%.

Conclusion

For OAA, the pterional approach has the advantages of small craniotomy trauma and good postoperative recovery, which is worthy of popularization and application.
