Abstract:

Objective

To analyze the detection rate and accuracy of intracavitary convex array probe (ICAP) in the diagnosis of ulcerative plaque at the origin of subclavian artery.

Methods

Two hundred and forty-eight patients with posterior circulation ischemia and recurrent stroke were selected from the Ultrasound Imaging Department of Hubei No.3 People’s Hospital of Jianghan University from May 2018 to December 2019. Color Doppler ultrasound was performed on bilateral subclavian arteries with high frequency linear array probe (HFLP) alone and combined with ICAP. The number, shape and echo of subclavian artery plaques were recorded, According to the diagnostic results of high-resolution CT angiography (HD-CTA), the plaque detection rates of HFLP alone and ICAP combined were compared.

Results

According to the diagnostic results of HD-CTA, compared with HFLP alone and ICAP combined, the detection rate of atherosclerotic plaque at the origin of subclavian artery increased significantly (P>0.05), but the morphology of atherosclerotic plaque, the accuracy of echo description and the detection rate of ulcerative atherosclerotic plaque increased significantly (P<0.05).

Conclusion

The combined application of ICAP has a high clinical value for the diagnosis of ulcerative atherosclerosis plaque in the initial segment of the subclavian artery.
