Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the effects of long-term use of aspirin on coagulation function and survival and prognosis in patients with cerebral hemorrhage.

Methods

A retrospective analysis of 95 patients with cerebral hemorrhage who were treated in our hospital from September 2010 to September 2017 was performed. The long-term use of aspirin during the study period was divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group took long-term use of aspirin before onset, the control group did not take aspirin. The patient’s venous blood was taken for blood test within 8 h after the onset of the disease, and the patient’s blood coagulation function index was explored. The United States National Institute of Health stroke scale was used to evaluate the neurological function of patients before and after treatment, and the continuous bleeding, enlarged hematoma volume and mortality were compared between the two groups.

Results

The platelet count in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the thrombin time and activated thrombin time in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of hemorrhage, enlarged hematoma area, mortality and NIHSS score in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05).

Conclusion

Long-term use of aspirin may affect the patient’s coagulation function, which severely increase the mortality of patients.

Key words: Cerebral hemorrhage, Coagulation function, Survival status
